We, co-owners David Action Nelson (USA) Camp Director and Al Chilli Lopez (Australia) Head Instructor, have created week long surfing adventures to provide you with the ultimate surfing experience.

We have been in the business of teaching people how to surf in Playa Carmen and St. Teresa for over 6 years, with a combine surfing experience of over 25 years.  We have traveled world wide, surfing and enjoying the pursuit of perfect waves and life changing experiences.

In 2001 we opened a surf shop in Playa Carmen, which at the time was only the second in our area.  Since then we have taught hundreds of people how to surf and have gained tremendous knowledge of our local area, the breaks, and perfected our techniques for teaching. After 5 incredible years we closed the surf shop in order to focus all our attention on TropicOlas.  We are very fortunate to have brought with us some of our professional instructors to aide us in teaching you all that there is and that you will need to not only surf but surf well, travel with a board, fix dings, understand the ocean, environmental awareness/ oceanography, and be ethically responsible while you are on your future surf travels around the world.
